HAPPY FATHERS DAY!

First things first! HAPPY FATHERS DAY!! I love you so much Daddy... youre my number one fan and I am so lucky to have to as my dad. Thank you for all the love and support.

This week has been running back and forth having a lot of things fall through but then at the last moment everything comes together... but I guess thats the mission right?

This last sunday Roger can to church again! We went to his house in the morning to take him to church and promised us that he would come to church but then at the last minute didnt have anything to wear... (if you ever are thinking of an excuse not to go to church... this is the worst one that you can use! just fyi :)) so the elders saved us and let us barrow all of their clothes. We he walked in on cloud nine... from a humble home to walking in with shined shoes and a tie. Every talk that was given seemed to be given just for him and told us late that night that is is ready to be baptized. We gave him 2 dates... 27 Junio or 4 Julio. And he chose the 27!! Im so excited to see this change the gospel will make in his life!!

So this week we ran into a bunch of Nortes from North Dakota here in Talanga! just as a side note... I aam sooo not used to sharing the gospel in English. The asked me what I was doing here and all that came out was.... Well were preaching. so were going to be practicing my English more in the night. ;)

I love you all. The church is true!

Prayer works

Hi fam!! How are you all!! I love you and miss you all!!

Jose got baptized on Saturday...  but like always Satan tries to get in the way of each and every baptism that we have. But like I said before prayer works :)

SO here's the Whole story! So! The font had been filled since Wednesday for this baptism... you could say that we were a bit excited (or there was a different baptism on Wednesday and we believe in conserving water) so all was well... but LITTLE did we know that they were going to drain the font on Friday. Did we wish we would have known... yes :) BUT life moves on. So here in Honduras there has been CRAZY RAIN!! so at around four we were in a members house with one of our investigators and right before we were about to leave to go the the church this huge storm came and our lider de districto told us we couldn't leave the house. so here we are stranded in the house of a member about 3 hours before our baptism. No tranquillo. We got time. (But we had a blast... we had a lesson... sang... ate jello with all the young men and young women while we were stuck indoors :) SO then it was just raining hard so through all the rivers in the street we finally made it to the church at 5. Little did we realized... the power went out. Fun fact... when there's no power... there's no WATER! And here we are 2 hours before our baptism with a drained font. (We were getting really creative though... who said that he had to be baptized indoors and not in main street... there was PLENTY over there! heh heh) BUT rumor had it that there's a planta... or another source of power that the church had... OH!! So lets go find the keys! Funny thing that the only person with the keys is the Stake Presidente... where was he may you ask? In Tegucigalpa and hour away... SO Brainer. (our recently returned missionary lifesaver) went all over town and FOUND the keys (in the pouring rain!!) So by now its 6 raining perros and gatos and tehy finally get the planta out annnnnnndddd its not working. How many priesthood holders does it take to work a planta? A LOT! (back knowledge... when the power goes out here, It usually doesn't come back for at least a day. ESPECIALLY in a storm like this one.)

So we ran home to get the baptismal clothing. At this point we were helpless and didn't know where to go. But when you are helpless and have nowhere else to turn... get on your knees and pray. So that is exactly what we did. Humbly we asked, remembering the will of God we expressed "realmente if Jose is ready to be baptized we know that it will all work out. The baptism starts at 7 o clock. I dont know how or when. But we have the faith that it can happen." We got up and headed back over to the church. 6:50. Everything was pitch black and by now it seemed that the whole elders quorum was working on this planta when BOOM. THERE WAS LIGHT! so we ran inside but, having to be a little more humbled, the tank that was supposed to be full of water... wasn't full. so there was no water falling. Meaning still no baptism. But that's when the miracles start. 6:59.... annnnd 7. AND THERE WAS LIGHT. The whole city had light.... the font filled all the way as we started the service and I cant say that I've seen so much happiness here in this baptism as yet another one of this group of friends got baptized!

I testify with all of my heart that God hears and answers our prayers. He listens to us. He knows our every need. Sometimes  He waits for us to be humbled and ALWAYS keep in mind the Will of God. But he is ALWAYS there. All you need to do is get on your knees and express to your Father in Heaven everything you have pressing in your heart and HE WILL LISTEN.

I LOVE YOU ALL SOOOO MUCH!!! The church is true :) I challenge you if you still don't know that this is the true church, get on your knees and ask God. He is the only one that can answer and if you ask humbly with a sincere heart... You will know.

When it rains it pours!

I don't mean it metaphorically.... it doesn't just rain here..... IT POURS!!! The streets turn into rivers and Im thinking of investing in a pretty nice canoe... could you imagine how fast we could get to every appt we have?? haha no but the rain just makes everything more fun ¨(and a whole lot wetter....)

This week Jose is getting baptized! So we are super excited for that! The young single adults are so great here and we just keep getting all these references from all of them! Before I got here Hna Gorgi (the institute teacher) only had like 4 in her class but now its bumped up and friends come (ha then we teach the friends) and its amazing to see all the progress. More less actives come and there are like up to 10 in the class now!

Sadly when there is the greatest potential Satan works his very hardest so Tatiana will no longer be getting baptized with her friend Jose. I have never seen someone one searching for this peace in her life more that Tati but the adversary has put so many doubts in her mind and that she started feeling all the fears. Then she wasn't able to come to church yesterday so her fecha will be moved to the 27 of June! But we were able to talk to her yesterday and she told us that without a doubt in her heart... this church is true. She knows that God loves there and that Christ is her Savior. She said that now there is nothing that will keep her from pushing forward and even if she cant quite yet enter the waters of baptism she will do all in her power to work up to that day!

I love this work and I'm hoping to send this email before the power goes out again... and I will be headed back out into tormenta to go kayaking :) SO I LOVE YOU ALL!!! The church is true :)

Miracles after miracles

Hi fam!!!

So we started off the week suuuuper great with zone conference! This is the last one that Pte Fortuna will be at cause in about a month we will be changing mission presidents (So yeah you could say that were pretty sad!) But is was the best conference ever! It was all about faith. Something I really loved is Faith= desire and determination. We have to have the desire to do it but if we don't have the force behind it... we are nothing. We have to be willing to pay the price if we want to see the success we are looking for! But it all starts with us! There are 2 kinds of goals... one that depends on me and one that depends on someone else and we have to focus on the first one. If I'm not ready... I will never see the outcome that we are looking for. It all depends on your faith... but you have to drop the fear. In dyc 67:3 it talks about if we want blessings... and if we didn't receive them.... its because of the fear that we have in our heart! So drop the fear and go forth with FAITH! El valor no significa que no tenemos temor. There is opposition in every single thing in this life but the REASON we are here is to find JOY!! So needless to say we have been pumped all week :)

so this week my companion and I started a week of gifts! We started it wiht Hermano Roger so he can stop drinking but then we can to the realization that we should do it with ALL of our progressing investigators so they can feel our love and support as well as the love and support of the Lord. So we did it with Tati too! It consists of dropping of pictures of Christ, candy, cookies, letters of support and my personally favorite a fake white rose. One of the biggest challenges here is to get people to church... the are so willing to listen to us and go to all of our activities.... just not make it all the way there (I mean for different reasons.... work school and other "compromisos") But we dropped off a fake white rose to all of them to represent Gods love. Just like this rose Gods love is pure and perfect. And just like this rose will never wilt... Gods love is everlasting and will never die. So every time you look at this rose and remember how much Your Heavenly Father really loves you we want you to think of what YOU can do to show YOUR love for God :) And yes... they all came to church thanks to a fake white rose and a little fasting :)

Through all of this Roger got Chickengua on Friday! Noooo... Beinvenido a Talanga! So we had an appt set up with our Zone leader and a member from our ward. The second we walked in the house and heard that we has sick Nelson (our member) left right away to the nearest store to buy him medication and then the gave him a blessing. Priesthood Power is REAL. Roger drinks just so that he can sleep at night so he can get rid of all the stress and worry but Elder Johnson didn't know that. In the blessing he blessed him that through his faith he will be able to rest and sleep the whole night through! By the time Sunday rolled around he was able to walk all the way to church! (and  trust me... it hurts to walk when you have Chickengunya!) Woo!!

Yesterday we were able to go the the temple with all of our investigators!! It was for a conference with Pte Fortuna. There had to be about 1000 people there! all of them being recent converts and investigators! so us, Angel, Felipe, Tati and Jose all went! And a ton of others! and then after we talked all about temples.... and all of them ranging from 18 to 23 years old theyre planning on going on misison and jose told us.... now my desire to go to so much more! wooo!! Jose and tati are both planning on being baptized this month!

Now some ask what its like to be in Honduras. I. LOVE. IT. Dad... you'll be so proud I have overcome my fear of LITTLE spiders but I'm still working on keeping my cool when I almost step on a tarantula in the hallway or when I'm so ready to sleep and one of our dear pet cockroaches wanted to share my bed with me :) But I love it here. Sometimes I still wake us and realize all over again our lucky and blessed I am.

I love you all so much and I hope you have the BEST WEEK :)

Me and my companion :)

Our baptism with Angle and Anabelly!!! And all of our support!!

Protecting Angels round about us

First off I just want to thank everyone for all the love and the support you have given and shown my mom this week! I got the chance to talk to her this morning and it seems to me that shes still her bright chipper self regardless of what happened. Sounds like the house has turned into a floral shop :) It really means a lot for all the love and support that she has had! (And just for a heads up her favorite is Dove Dark :)

Most of you probably know more than I do. She was in a pretty bad car accident this last Wednesday. But from all the pictutes and emails looks like she receiving a lot of love :) Its amazing how every bit of our lives are looked over and watched over by gaurdian angels. There is always things that might get in our way... little speed bumps in our pathway back Home to our Father in heaven but with these speed bumps come miracles. My mom so sweetly put, " I wanted to know why there were no angels wrapped around my car but then I realized... its becuase they were wrapped around my head... protecting me." Amazingly enough there was no internal damage done and I thank my Father in Heaven and the gaurdian angels that were protecting her.

This week Angel AND ananbelly got baptized!! After a lot of running around the service was so spiritual as they stepped into the waters of baptism. The light in their eyes just show everything. Im greatful that I can be a tool and an instrument in the hands of the Lord to bring them to the truth :) The love and support from the members was amazing! (not cause we spent hours and used all of our minutes calling each and every one of them but... ;) ) Attached is the photo!

Ill send photos I swear! But I love you all so much! THANK YOU FOR ALL THE LOVE AND SUPPORT! (She also loves orchids, dove dark, dark chocolate with sea salt, zupas, cafe rio pork salads and visits!) you are in my prayers ALWAYS!

Hermana Breezer :)
