LAST WEEK!!!

Oh my goodness Oh my goodness!!! Can you believe it? I have almost made it allll the way though the MTC!!! Holy moly! A week from today I will be in the feild!! Ha ps sorry about the changes in Pday... if i knew I would tell you. But I dont. Ill make sure to talk to the big guy and tell pres cox that I need to have just one day for all of you. Haha jota ka.

Anyway... so second to last week!! And let me tell you I have arrived. Im just saying. The other night Hermana Evans woke up to me talking in my sleep. but not jsut talking. But giveing the lessons.... In spanish! Dont they say that once you start dreaming in spanish thats when it all goes well! Well At least I got 'Cree en Dios?' down... several times. So easy I can do it in my sleep. Literally.
but yes the spanish is coming! i mean yeah we have tons of slip ups. hermana Evans went up to the cook and asked for 'mas paz por favor'. (Ps paz does not mean bread). Haha yeah we need more peace in our life!! haha they dont let her live it down! but this last week I spoke in sacrament meeting so I hope that means I got a little of it down.

I love it here in the MTC. Its like nothing Ive ever experienced. The spirit is so so strong here and every one around is so great. But I am so excited to get out in the feild. Terrified... but excited! They balance eachother out right? And appartenly my mission presidents are awesome. Presidente Cox went to a retreat to panama witht hem this week along with all the other leaders here at the CCM and everything I say Presidente Fortuna and his wife.... they all put the hands over thier hearts and just sigh and say I am the luckiest. And I am so excited to meet them! T minus... well on tuesday!!

So this week Elder Ochoa came and spoke to us in a LIVE devotional!! it was honestly so so amazing!!! (He's the one that spoke in conference I think two conferences ago.)And let me tell you he did awesome. Ill give you a little snipit!

"We cannot change a lot of things. Most things. but we CAN change out attitudes, our hearts, and hopefully their hearts too. Those who have fatih in Christ will not focus on the things that aren't important. We can't sit back and focus on the things that we cant change... the weather, another persons decisions or the rules. Its no ones fault... its your fatih. Our faith is the only weapon that we have. When we exercise our faith we can witness miracles."

So I love you all so so much!! When will I write you next well... 1 Ne 13:22. heh heh. I have no clue! hopefully next week! HONDURAS HERE I COME!! Woohoo!

I love this gospel so much. It is is simple and sweet. I know that I am a daughter of my Heavenly Father and he love me and loves all of us more than we can imagine. I know that He listens to each and every one of our prayers. He is on our right hand and on our left. D&C 84:88!

I love you all!!!

Hola!!!! Como esta??
I hope everything is goin ggreat out in sandy!!! From all your wmails sounds like you guys are doing great!! Well this is it!!! well I guess not it but TWO MORE WEEKS!! Not that Im counting down or anything but I totally am!!! I cant wait to get out there! I cant believe that its almost been a whole month!

This week has been crazy! ( I thik I say that every week but I really do mean it!) An elder in our district left this week! He was only with us for 8 days but once your here... your family!!! Haha en serio though. i think I have sang God Be With you til we Meet Again more this last week than I ever have in my entire life but let me tell you.... It gains more meaning the more we sing it!

P days are the best!! Each p day we start off with the temple! We are so lucky! Ive already been 4 times! its just a little jont down the street so its perfect!! Ah theres no place Id rather be then there!!

We jsut got back from the market down the street!! Oh how Iove our little feildtrips!! (Even if they are only 20 minutes) we were told that we could but whatever food we want just as long as we dont take it back to the CCM. And yes. Let me tell you. Us 6 hermanas know how to eat. We downed that whole pack of oreos... cookies and cream candy bars and other chocolate (naturally).

Basically this week has been full of teaching and learning... then more teaching and more studying.... then more teaching annnnnnd the some sleep. And then I swear were always eating. this week I got to teach a real investigator that has never met with missionaries before! it was such an amazing experience!! I know Ive said it before but I dont think that he learned the same language I did... but after enough charades... we got our point across. and after enough laughing at our spanish on his part I think we at least got something through the translation. but really though. the spirit is so strong in those lessons. I cant even wait til I can really get out there.

This week has been such a humbling experience. I love this work and I know I am here for the Lord. I have to consistently remember that being out of your comfort zone is worth it... because thats when you know you are doing something worth while!!!

I love every one of you!! This church is true if I didnt know that I wouldnt be here :)

Love Hermana Nelson :)

Hump week!!

Wow!! Can you believe it!!! I officially made it half way!! Ah so now instead of moving away from leaving home im moving towards the actually mission!! Im so excited!! Like I mean Im definitely not ready yet. I still have so much to learn but it will come! I love all of you dearly!! Sorry its been about 10 days and sorry for the confusion last p day! But I should be emailing on wednesdays... but maybe tuesdays. Eh lets throw a monday in there too! So maybe write on sunday :)

So this week has been the bomb! Last Tuesday we escaped! Ha Jota Ka... We got to go out on a city tour and go to the market! wow!! Guatemala is gorgeous! They call it the land of trees! and for good reason! WE went and saw a reference map of all of quatemala!! Look it up! (sorry its probably not even what its called...) But it was really awesome!! We went to the market and shop around! Wow... I think its two different languages Im learning.Out teachers are so nice and speak so slow. Yep I get it. Thats not how it really is!! Ha but I am rall good at laughing at the right moments (well I hope) and smiling when they are trying to talk to me. Our district all bought skirts and ties! I wish I could send you pictures!! We were hoping for one but rules are rules! Then we got to go to WENDYS!!! Wahoo! Um ps you have not lived until you have had a frosty from Guatemala. I dont know if it was cause Iwas craving it or what. But santa baca... dang good!( Then we got to go out on the streets and talk to people! Ah it was such a great taste of what it is going to be like!!

On tuesday All of the Hermana Latinas left!Oh my goodness I miss them so so so much!!!For one night there were only 18 of us in the CCM! Crazy huh? Now thres about 50 but no more latinos come until next week :( so our teachers tell us that we are the new latinos since we are now the oldest. So low and behold... what were we for halloween? LATINOS :) Cause lets be honest... I so wish I was. All the sisters in my district wore our skirts and the elders wore their ties! We were adorable! Hermano Abadillo and Hermano VAsquez gave us new latino names. So you can all call me Hermana Marta now :) heh.

One thing I have learned this week is that we need to be postive. Put a smile on your face no matter waht. I am here doing the Lords work and I am so very very happy about it. Its all in your attitude in how you respond to every situation and once you look at it in that light and have the right mindset that is when you can really teach with the spirit and bring that joy that I have to so many people!!

So basically everyday at the CCM (MTC) is wake up, eat, study, class, eat more, class, deportes (oh have I told you we do Insanity for deportes? Presidente Cox is so into it. He thinks its the best thing in the entire world!! Then we go play volyball with the elders. If you have ever seen me play vollyball dont laugh... Im getting better!! Sorta.) And then we eat some more, class, bed and reapeat. So as you can imagine all the days are meshing into one!! one suppppeer long day!!! But honestly I love here at the CCM. The people here are so so great. Presidente and Hermana cox are the absolutly best! All the teachers are amazing! And I get to spend it with so many awesome missionaries!! (Oh and odnt froget about the awesome ice cream! I dont know what they put in it... but its dang good!)

So sunday was fast sunday!! It was honestly the best thing in the entire world!! There we so many good devotionals and lessons but the best part was fast and testimony meeting! So sacrament meeting is still in spanish and everyone is urged to bear their tesimony. I dont think I have ever felt the spirit so strong in sacrament meeting before. There is such a sweetness and simpicity to this gospel. And I love it so much. Most people could only say a few sentances but it wasnt about what they were saying it is the spirit that is brought. It is truely amazing. Towards the end of the meet onle of the polynesan elders got up and said the one sentance that he knows. The church is true and then continued to sing. Families are Forever in english. There was sucha power in that room and you could hear the sniffles thoughout. Family... I love you so much and I cant wait for eternity!!

I love you all!!! Dont have too much fun without me!! I love being here! It is the hardest thing I have ever done... but definietely the most rewarding as well!!

The church is true. I know that with all my heart.

Hermana Nelson

ps... if you get my picture of the whole ccm... just take note that all the older hermanas are adorable and matching. We think we are hilarious and plan our outfits. Yes. We are 5 today :)
