Hump week!!

Wow!! Can you believe it!!! I officially made it half way!! Ah so now instead of moving away from leaving home im moving towards the actually mission!! Im so excited!! Like I mean Im definitely not ready yet. I still have so much to learn but it will come! I love all of you dearly!! Sorry its been about 10 days and sorry for the confusion last p day! But I should be emailing on wednesdays... but maybe tuesdays. Eh lets throw a monday in there too! So maybe write on sunday :)

So this week has been the bomb! Last Tuesday we escaped! Ha Jota Ka... We got to go out on a city tour and go to the market! wow!! Guatemala is gorgeous! They call it the land of trees! and for good reason! WE went and saw a reference map of all of quatemala!! Look it up! (sorry its probably not even what its called...) But it was really awesome!! We went to the market and shop around! Wow... I think its two different languages Im learning.Out teachers are so nice and speak so slow. Yep I get it. Thats not how it really is!! Ha but I am rall good at laughing at the right moments (well I hope) and smiling when they are trying to talk to me. Our district all bought skirts and ties! I wish I could send you pictures!! We were hoping for one but rules are rules! Then we got to go to WENDYS!!! Wahoo! Um ps you have not lived until you have had a frosty from Guatemala. I dont know if it was cause Iwas craving it or what. But santa baca... dang good!( Then we got to go out on the streets and talk to people! Ah it was such a great taste of what it is going to be like!!

On tuesday All of the Hermana Latinas left!Oh my goodness I miss them so so so much!!!For one night there were only 18 of us in the CCM! Crazy huh? Now thres about 50 but no more latinos come until next week :( so our teachers tell us that we are the new latinos since we are now the oldest. So low and behold... what were we for halloween? LATINOS :) Cause lets be honest... I so wish I was. All the sisters in my district wore our skirts and the elders wore their ties! We were adorable! Hermano Abadillo and Hermano VAsquez gave us new latino names. So you can all call me Hermana Marta now :) heh.

One thing I have learned this week is that we need to be postive. Put a smile on your face no matter waht. I am here doing the Lords work and I am so very very happy about it. Its all in your attitude in how you respond to every situation and once you look at it in that light and have the right mindset that is when you can really teach with the spirit and bring that joy that I have to so many people!!

So basically everyday at the CCM (MTC) is wake up, eat, study, class, eat more, class, deportes (oh have I told you we do Insanity for deportes? Presidente Cox is so into it. He thinks its the best thing in the entire world!! Then we go play volyball with the elders. If you have ever seen me play vollyball dont laugh... Im getting better!! Sorta.) And then we eat some more, class, bed and reapeat. So as you can imagine all the days are meshing into one!! one suppppeer long day!!! But honestly I love here at the CCM. The people here are so so great. Presidente and Hermana cox are the absolutly best! All the teachers are amazing! And I get to spend it with so many awesome missionaries!! (Oh and odnt froget about the awesome ice cream! I dont know what they put in it... but its dang good!)

So sunday was fast sunday!! It was honestly the best thing in the entire world!! There we so many good devotionals and lessons but the best part was fast and testimony meeting! So sacrament meeting is still in spanish and everyone is urged to bear their tesimony. I dont think I have ever felt the spirit so strong in sacrament meeting before. There is such a sweetness and simpicity to this gospel. And I love it so much. Most people could only say a few sentances but it wasnt about what they were saying it is the spirit that is brought. It is truely amazing. Towards the end of the meet onle of the polynesan elders got up and said the one sentance that he knows. The church is true and then continued to sing. Families are Forever in english. There was sucha power in that room and you could hear the sniffles thoughout. Family... I love you so much and I cant wait for eternity!!

I love you all!!! Dont have too much fun without me!! I love being here! It is the hardest thing I have ever done... but definietely the most rewarding as well!!

The church is true. I know that with all my heart.

Hermana Nelson
